Verify Payment

Verify a payment reference and retrieve its final status and details.

GET /v1/payments/verify/{reference}

Verify the status and details of a payment using its HitchPay reference.

Always use this endpoint to confirm payment status — do not rely solely on the callback url redirect or webhook events, as these are asynchronous.

Payment Status Values

Status	Description
`successful`	Payment completed and confirmed
`pending`	Payment initiated but not yet completed
`failed`	Payment failed or was reversed
`partial`	Partial payment received
